My New Best Friend!

The Questions

Back in 1994, I became increasingly aware that my life, although "okay", wasn't really bringing me the consistently deep level of fun and satisfaction I longed for. I'd had a history of modest successes and some enjoyment, doing everything from running greenhouses to flying hot air balloons, starting a cottage industry jewelry business to remodeling to working as a livestock breeder and farmer. While all this had been creative, I felt less than fulfilled. I was bugged by the nagging fact that while playing Energizer Bunny,I wasn't really very energized, centered or "on purpose" , nor was I contributing to others in any deeply meaningful way. Why was my work ho-hum, why did several of my close relationships including my marriage lack luster and real connection and why couldn't I "figure all this out" for myself?

The Insights

It was in exploring the answers to these and other big "life" questions that I began working with an insightful coach who helped me to change my life in the ways most meaningful and rewarding for me. It was fun, scary, and amazingly powerful. Now, I knew much more about my personal versions of success, deep meaning and fulfillment, and how to go about creating these in all areas of life. This experience affected me profoundly, both at the time in the active coaching stages, and also as an ongoing new filter of awareness that became a permanent part of my outlook on life. The new skills that I learned brought me a combined sense of intuition and empowerment that is still my most valued "possession", bar none!

The Actions

As a result of this, my working life changed and evolved, and I embarked on several years training in Personal Coaching. In 1998 I began what's become one of the most rewarding professional experiences of my life.

Certifications

I'm a Certified Conscious Living and Loving Coach, and a Charter Faculty Facilitator for The Living University. I also hold Certifications in Conscious Relationship Transformation and Body-Centered Awareness, all through the Hendricks Institute. I've done extensive training in Goal-setting Frameworks, based on Robert Fritz's pioneering work The Path of Least Resistance, and the work of Bruce Elkin. I am a level II Certified ProEFT Practitioner, and currently completing practicum work towards advanced level certification in ProEFT training.

The Present

The work I do with clients is a core distillation of what I have developed and experienced in the past twelve years as the best of several of these methods and disciplines.

When we work together, we intently clarify and embrace what most matters to you. We then turn our attention on creating the easiest, most fun and most powerful ways to arrive there. In plain terms, it's effective, a good time, and it works when we do! I'm honored to have assisted many individuals, couples, and various business and special interest groups with creating the visions and results they wanted most.

Lastly, the Warm and Fuzzy Part....!

Today, I live the life that truly matters to me. My Coaching office is perched on the edge of the Columbia River Gorge, where I work with individuals, couples and small groups, and facilitate the smaller workshops.

I live in rural Washington just a stone's throw from the Gifford Pinchot Wilderness, and such a breathtaking backyard it is! Home is "the house that Jack built", where we share our property with various entertaining critters, both domestic and not so. I'm deeply grateful to be living a life both simple yet richly abundant. The Coaching work I thrive on often feels suspiciously like play. Not to be outdone by fulfilling work though, hiking boots, backpack and kayak (or skis, snowshoes and knitting needles, depending on the season!) always stand at the ready.
